MOSCOW, October 28. /TASS/. Kiev is preparing at least 11 Ukrainian cities for 360-degree defense, including Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye, Kharkov, and Kherson, a pro-Russian underground source told TASS.
"We’re talking primarily about the south and the east: Odessa, Nikolayev, Kherson, Zaporozhye, Dnepropetrovsk, Pavlograd," the source said. "At the same time, they are preparing Kiev and the Kiev Region, Kharkov, Sumy, Chernigov, and Volyn. The north is being attributed to a 'threat' from Belarus. Kharkov and Sumy are being fortified due to their [proximity] to the border with Russia."
In addition, he added, in the Zaporozhye and Dnepropetrovsk Regions, fortifications are being built around almost all cities, all the way to Orekhov and Volnyansk. Meanwhile, on the approaches to Odessa, trenches have long since been dug, and so-called "dragon’s teeth" and barbed wire have been installed.
At the same time, the pro-Russian underground sources noted that people are intentionally not being told which cities will be prepared for a circular defense, so as not to cause panic. "But our people are convinced that most of Ukraine’s remaining population is very tired of the Kiev regime’s senseless decisions. And the impasse in which the country now finds itself seems to many to be unsolvable due to the categorical stance of either Zelensky himself or his handlers," they said.
At the same time, the source added, Ukraine’s elites, on the contrary, advocate for the continuation of the conflict, which is precisely why fortifications are being erected around cities, while residents are assured that this is routine work.
Earlier, Vladimir Zelensky signed a decree on the construction of a belt of engineering barriers for the circular defense of Ukrainian cities. The text of the decree itself is available only for official use, details have not been published.
