Russian ombudswoman asks Kiev for secure corridor for Kursk region residents

Tatyana Moskalkova noted that the weather is cold, while many residents in the occupied territories have no heat

MINSK, December 12. /TASS/. Russian Human Rights Commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova has addressed the Ukrainian side with a request to set up a humanitarian corridor to take civilians to safety from Russia’s borderline Kursk Region’s territories occupied by the Ukrainian army.

"According to my information, they are usually in cellars or basements of destroyed buildings. As far as I know, there are no targeted deliveries of humanitarian aid, in violation of the Geneva Conventions. And I have already addressed the Ukrainian side so that they organize a humanitarian corridor to take people out to a safe location," she told TASS, expressing hope that the negotiation process will result in concrete actions from the Kiev regime that save civilian lives in the Kursk Region.

The ombudswoman added that the weather is cold, while many residents in the occupied territories have no heat.

"We have an idea as to how many people are there approximately and in which residential areas, so both our military and the presidential administration are aiming to get the negotiation process going and rescue these people," Moskalkova added.
