Journalist Alexander Nevzorov wanted by police — Russian Interior Ministry database

On April 22, the Russian Justice Ministry included journalist Alexander Nevzorov in the foreign agents registry

MOSCOW, May 4. /TASS/. The Russian Interior Ministry has put journalist Alexander Nevzorov on the wanted list under a criminal article, according to the department's database.

"Alexander Glebovich Nevzorov, born on August 3, 1958, is wanted under a Criminal Code article," the database notes.

Earlier, the Russian Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against Nevzorov for spreading knowingly false information about the actions of the Russian armed forces. According to the investigators, on March 9, the journalist on his public Instagram page (a social media site banned in Russia since it is owned by Meta corporation deemed extremist by Russian authorities) and on March 19 on his YouTube channel published deliberately false information about the intentional shelling of a maternity hospital in the city of Mariupol by the Russian Armed Forces.

On April 22, the Russian Justice Ministry included journalist Alexander Nevzorov in the foreign agents registry.
