Amid a dynamic growth in demand for renting private housing, the local construction companies undertake to build small decorated mansions in just 7-15 days,

SANYA, September 12. /TASS/. Apartments in Hainan's Sanya are gaining great popularity among tourists, who increasingly prefer to rent well-equipped rooms in private mansions or townhouses on the seashore instead of hotels, reported the Sanya Daily.

According to the newspaper, over the past few years, the city attracted significant investment in the redevelopment and modernization of residential areas. As a result, from 2021, an extensive housing stock has become available, rebuilt according to the latest international standards in picturesque places, close to the sea, parks and key attractions. Tourists can stay for several days in spacious rooms with modern design. According to the Chinese tourists, the level of comfort of such apartments is not inferior to hotels, and the price is usually lower than in big hotels.

Due to the constant increase in the influx of tourists, many Sanya residents rent rooms and apartments to tourists in the busiest season. This allows them to significantly increase their income, moreover, tourists can save on accommodation.

As the newspaper clarifies, amid a dynamic growth in demand for renting private housing, the local construction companies undertake to build small decorated mansions in just 7-15 days, which, upon completion of work, can be immediately rented out to tourists. The owners of such guesthouses also organize regular meals for guests, offer them to purchase the goods that Sanya is famous for.

According to the calculations of Chinese experts, the area of the housing stock in Hainan's agricultural regions exceeds 156 million square meters. In connection with the outflow of the population to urban areas for seasonal earnings, about a quarter of these apartments and private houses, usually located in a picturesque area and near the sea, are empty. Tourism is expected to create new opportunities for more efficient use of such properties. This is facilitated by active infrastructure construction in the province, thanks to which the once inaccessible peripheral areas are becoming a popular vacation spot.
