MOSCOW, June 18. /TASS/. Svyatoslav Palamar (call sign Kalina), a deputy commander of the Azov battalion, and Sergei Volynsky (call sign Volyna), the commander of the 36th Marine Brigade of the Ukrainian armed forces, who surrendered in Mariupol, have been transferred to Russia for investigative purposes, a law enforcement source told TASS on Saturday.

"Special forces officers transferred Svyatoslav Palamar and Sergey Volynsky from the DPR to the Russian Federation to conduct investigative activities with them. Other officers of various Ukrainian units were also transported to Russia," he said.

The source did not elaborate on what Russian region they had been transported to and what were the Ukrainian units whose commanders had been transferred with the nationalists.
