DONETSK, April 22. /TASS/. Russian forces have successfully breached the enemy’s second line of defense in the Konstantinovka region of the DPR, leading to the liberation of the village of Sukhaya Balka, according to Igor Kimakovsky, an advisor to the DPR head, who was speaking on Solovyov’s Live TV channel.
"The key achievements today are already evident near Konstantinovka. Toretsk (Dzerzhinsk - TASS) has not only been liberated but is also being secured from the west. In other words, Sukhaya Balka constitutes part of the second defensive line, which comprised three fortified layers. That line has now been broken, and an offensive is underway," Kimakovsky explained.
He further noted that intense fighting is ongoing in the Chasov Yar area, where the enemy is attempting to hold strategic heights to prevent the Russian Armed Forces from gaining control of the region.
Today, the Russian Defense Ministry officially announced the liberation of Sukhaya Balka in the DPR.
