MOSCOW, March 21. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin personally picked Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs Grigory Karasin and Advisor to the Director of the Federal Security Service (FSB) Sergey Beseda as negotiators for the next round of Russia-US talks, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said at a news briefing.
"They are the most experienced negotiators with an extensive track record in such work," Peskov shared. "They have been hand-picked by the Russian president and they will best represent Russia in the coming negotiations," he explained.
The Russian delegation in the upcoming talks in Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh on Monday will be headed by Karasin and Beseda, Russian Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov announced earlier. Russia and the United States will particularly address reviving the Black Sea grain initiative after Russian President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart, Donald Trump, reached a corresponding agreement in their recent phone call.
