Artyom military plant reportedly on fire after explosions in Kiev

The Artyom plant is known for producing air-to-air missiles, as well as equipment for aircraft

MOSCOW, December 20. /TASS/. A fire has been reported in the area of the Artyom military factory in Kiev following explosions, eyewitnesses told TASS.

"After the explosions near the Lukyanovskaya metro station, a fire is visible in the Artyom military plant area, with a noticeable glow," they said.

The Artyom plant is known for producing air-to-air missiles, as well as equipment for aircraft.

Earlier, several powerful explosions were reported across the Ukrainian capital, resulting in a large fire breaking out. Kiev Mayor Vitaly Klichko reported fires in the Solomensky and Shevchenkovsky districts.
