Russian sea agency confirms fatality in fire on Turkish ship in Krasnodar region

Earlier in the day, one death was reported to TASS by a source in the emergency services of the Southern Federal District

KRASNODAR, May 10. /TASS/. A crewmember has died, according to preliminary reports, in a fire on a Turkish ship in the Temryuk port in Russia’s Krasnodar Region, the Federal Agency for Sea and Inland Water Transport told TASS on Tuesday.

Earlier in the day, one death was reported to TASS by a source in the emergency services of the Southern Federal District.

"The fire has been extinguished. It was put out by the crew. Now representatives of the investigating authorities have been brought on board. No damage to the environment is yet seen. Preliminarily, one crew member died," the spokesperson said.
