Ruble slightly falling after Bank of Russia keeps key rate at 21%

Contrary to analysts' forecasts, the Bank of Russia decided to keep the key rate at 21% per annum, but noted that it would assess raising the rate at the next meeting

MOSCOW, December 20. /TASS/. The ruble exchange rate did not react to the Bank of Russia's decision to keep the key rate at 21% per annum during trading on the Moscow Exchange, but then began to weaken slightly.

Before the regulator's decision was published, the yuan exchange rate was at 13.985 rubles (-2.2 kopecks), as of 13:25 Moscow time.

Then at 13:30 Moscow time, the yuan amounted to 13.988 rubles (-1.9 kopecks). By 13:45 Moscow time, the yuan began to grow and was trading at 14.023 rubles (+1.6 kopecks).
