TOKYO, December 18. /TASS/. Trade turnover between Russia and Japan declined by 15.9% year-on-year, to $650 million, in November, according to TASS calculations based on Japanese finance ministry’s statistics.

Trade turnover stood at 99.784 billion Japanese yen (around $650 million).

Russian exports grew by 11.3%, while imports declined by 22.2%.

The main contributing factors were the growth in Russian imports of Japanese cars (up 7.3%), which account for 70% of all imports from Japan, as well as Japan’s reduction in the purchase of Russian liquefied natural gas (down by 26.9%) and coal (down by 56.7%), which account for over 65% of all Japanese imports from Russia.
