Situation with Russia-UAE business payments stable

"There is no one-size-fits-all solution, but there are plenty of options, and everyone understands which one to choose," chairman of the Russia-UAE Business Council Sergey Gorkov said

DUBAI, November 14. /TASS/. The situation with business payments between Russia and the UAE is stable and is expected to improve further as early as next year, chairman of the Russia-UAE Business Council, Sergey Gorkov, told TASS.

"International payments between Russia and the UAE and other countries are now among the issues requiring exploration and solutions in different ways on an ongoing basis. Russian companies have already learned how to adapt to this in various aspects. There is no one-size-fits-all solution, but there are plenty of options, and everyone understands which one to choose. Broadly, the situation is relatively stable; I cannot say it has been fully resolved. Let’s hope for improvement as early as next year," he said.

The UAE is Russia's primary partner among Arab nations. Trade turnover between the two countries is growing and approached $10 billion by the end of 2023, Gorkov added.
