MOSCOW, October 14. /TASS/. Russia can reduce natural gas production by about 10% in 2022, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak told reporters on the sidelines of the Russian Energy Week forum.
"[Gas production] will be lower than last year. I will not indicate the exact figure but if export is as now, then the reduction can be up to 10% overall. Approximately. Not ‘by’ but up to [10%]," the official said.
According to the Russian statistical agency data, Russia lowered natural gas production by 10.4% in January - August 2022 to 389 bln cubic meters.
