More than 33,000 tourists visited Sanya rainforest park in five days of holidays

Most of the visitors came from Beijing, Wuhan, Chengdu, Chongqing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and other major Chinese cities

SANYA, October 9. /TASS/. More than 33,000 tourists visited the Tropical Paradise Forest Park in Sanya's Yalongwan Bay (Hainan Province, South China) during the first five days of the national holidays marking the Foundation of the People's Republic of China, reported the Sanya Daily. 

The article writes that the tropical forest park was one of the most popular tourist destinations in the past holidays. Along with it, the island of Wuzhishan located near the coastline, Luhuitou park area, the city oceanarium and other attractions were also in great demand.

According to the newspaper, during the holidays, Sanya attracted tourists not only from the Island of Hainan, but also from other regions of China. Most of the visitors came from Beijing, Wuhan, Chengdu, Chongqing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and other major Chinese cities.

According to Sanya's Department of Tourism and Culture, a total of 279,500 people visited the resort during the first three days of the holidays.

This year, the weekend in honor of the Founding Day of the People's Republic of China lasted from October 1 to October 7. Along with the holidays on the occasion of the New Year according to the lunar calendar, the first week of October is considered the favorite time of the Chinese to travel, in China it is called the "golden week". According to the Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism, in 2021, over seven days off, residents of China made 515 million trips country-wide, the revenues of the domestic tourism industry amounted to 389.061 billion yuan (about $ 60.22 billion).
