Civilian manufacturers ramp up drone production to 40,000 units per month

The Russian Defense Ministry has also purchased more than 100,000 units from small design bureaus and civilian manufacturers, the statement said

MOSCOW, December 21. /TASS/. Civilian manufacturers have ramped up the production volumes, including drones, up to 40,000 units per month, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

On Saturday, a final meeting of the technical council of the Russian Defense Ministry and the All-Russia People's Front was held with the participation of Defense Minister Andrey Belousov.

"The top defense official noted that many civilian manufacturers have increased production volumes: for drones and FPV drones - up to 40,000 units per month, for electronic warfare systems and signals intelligence - up to 5,000 units per month," the ministry said.

The Russian Defense Ministry has purchased more than 100,000 units from small design bureaus and civilian manufacturers, the statement said.

"Thanks to the work of the technical council, about 30 independent high-tech teams have been formed, which are capable of producing serial products and solving promising tasks set by the Defense Ministry have been formed," the top defense official said. "In total, more than 100,000 units produced by small design bureaus and civilian manufacturers have been purchased," the ministry said.
