NEW YORK, December 20. /TASS/. US President Joe Biden’s top advisers have been overseeing his meetings and schedule during his term in office to conceal his mistakes and the challenges he has been facing, the Wall Street Journal writes, citing sources.
According to them, top advisers have been acting as go-betweens with increased control over the president than usual. They were the ones establishing limits on who Biden communicates with and the sources of information he receives.
The goal was to prevent Biden from "making blunders or errors that could damage his image, create political headaches, or disrupt the world order."
Biden, who turned 82 in November, often finds himself in awkward situations and has verbal slip-ups when making official speeches.
Donald Trump won the US presidential election on November 5. His inauguration is scheduled for January 20, 2025.
