Outgoing US administration to continue aid to Kiev until Trump’s inauguration

US administration currently has $5.6 to help Ukraine under the PDA mechanism, and another $1.13 - under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative, Pentagon Press Secretary Patrick Ryder said

WASHINGTON, December 20. /TASS/. The outgoing administration led by US President Joe Biden will continue to allocate its military aid to Ukraine before President-elect Donald Trump formally takes office on January 20, Pentagon Press Secretary Patrick Ryder has told reporters.

When asked whether the outgoing administration will manage to use the remaining $5.6 billion previously allocated by the Congress for the purpose, Ryder replied: "What I would say is, you know, we're committed to spending as much of that as we can to get security assistance to Ukraine as quickly as we can. And of course, we'll keep you updated on that front."

In his words, the US administration currently has $5.6 to help Ukraine under the PDA (Presidential Drawdown Authority) mechanism, and another $1.13 - under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI).
