Conflict in Ukraine is Russia’s standoff with West, says Bosnian Serb leader

"Russia could not shrug off the fact that lethal weapons may be deployed" so that it could hit targets in its territory in a two-minute time "as means of pressure" over Siberia's natural resources, Milorad Dodik noted

ST. PETERSBURG, June 16. /TASS/. The conflict in Ukraine is a global standoff between Russia and the West, rather than a conflict between Moscow and Kiev, Bosnian Serb leader Milorad Dodik said on Thursday.

"Russia could not shrug off the fact that lethal weapons may be deployed" so that it could hit targets in its territory in a two-minute time "as means of pressure" over Siberia's natural resources, Dodik, Serb member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina said, addressing the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

"The armed conflict is therefore not a conflict between Russia and Ukraine, it is a standoff of global powers," he said.
