RIO DE JANEIRO, August 14. /TASS/. Russian tennis players Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina have won gold medals in women’s double at the Rio 2016 Olympics on Sunday.

In the gold medal match, they defeated 6-4, 6-4 Timea Bacsinszky and Martina Hingis of Switzerland. Bronze went to Lucie Hradecka and Barbora Strycova of the Czech Republic.
