MOSCOW, February 23. /TASS/. World rhythmic gymnastics champions Dina and Arina Averina have retired from sports, President of the Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation Irina Viner said.

"The girls told me today that they would not compete any longer," Viner said.

The Averina twin sisters are 25 years old. Dina Averina is an Olympic silver medalist and an 18-time world champion. She is also a ten-time European champion and a three-time winner of the European Games. Arina Averina is a five-time world champion and nine-time European champion, she is also a three-time winner of the World Games.
