HAIKOU /China/, August 23. /TASS/. South China's Hainan Province will hold the World New Energy Vehicles Congress on September 27-29, the organizers announced.
According to the program published on the forum's WeChat page, the event will be held in Hainan's administrative center, the city of Haikou. It is organized by the Association of Science and Technology of China, the provincial government and the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China.
The theme of the conference is "Low-Carbon Transformation and Global Cooperation", and it aims to strengthen cooperation with the global automotive industry and promote the development of alternative energy vehicles. It also aims to consolidate international efforts to reduce harmful emissions.
During the three days of the congress, the organizers plan to hold three main sessions and 15 narrow thematic sessions, to organize three dialogues on the above-mentioned topics and one closed session. At the same time there will be an exhibition of technologies on the area of 13 thousand square meters, as well as many related events.
The conference participants will discuss the issues of international standardization in the modern automotive industry, introduction of advanced network technologies in transport, organization of large-scale production of ecological cars, adaptation of the industry to the nuances of consumer demand, and much more. Four bilateral sub-forums are planned, where the Chinese side will exchange views with delegations from the United Kingdom, Germany and Sweden, as well as representatives from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
The Haikou forum is expected to boost international cooperation in the development and production of green cars. It is expected to play an increasingly important role as a platform for exchanging experiences to develop the relevant industry.
