Patriarch Kirill to Pope Francis: dialogue ‘can bear good fruit’

MOSCOW, March 13. /TASS/. Patriarch Kirill, of Moscow and All Russia, has sent a message to Pope Francis to congratulate him on the 10th anniversary of his election as the head of the Roman Catholic Church and noted the importance of a dialogue between religious leaders, the Russian Orthodox Church said on its website on Monday.

"In these difficult times, a dialogue between religious leaders can bear good fruit and contribute to the unification of the efforts of people of good will for the ‘healing of wounds’ (Jeremiah 30:17) of God's creation," Patriarch Kirill said.

The head of the Russian Orthodox Church noted that in the current difficult circumstances, Pope Francis was making a significant contribution to the preaching of the Gospel and paying attention to the development of interfaith interaction.

"Patriarch Kirill wished Pope Francis good health, peace of mind and unfailing help from Christ the Savior in his labors," the message posted on the ROC website reads.
