Leading pollster reveals level of Russian public’s confidence in Putin

Asked if they trust the Russian President, 80.8% of those polled replied in the positive

MOSCOW, June 10. /TASS/. The Level of Russian citizens’ confidence in President Vladimir Putin is almost 81%, according to a poll released on Friday by the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM).

"Asked if they trust Putin, 80.8% of those polled replied in the positive (down 0.2 percentage points from a week earlier)," the pollster said, adding that 78.3% of respondents approved of the president’s actions (up 0.1 p.p.).

That said, 52.9% of the respondents (up 1.8 p.p.) were satisfied with the government’s endeavors, while 53.4% (up 0.9 p.p.) approved of Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin’s work.

The poll was conducted from May 30 to June 5 among 1,600 adult Russians.
