MOSCOW, January 11. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has demanded an unrestricted observance of the rights of inmates.
"The situation regarding observance of the rights of the citizens serving out their prison sentences should be kept under control," the president said at a ceremonial meeting devoted to the 295th anniversary of Russia’s Prosecutor’s Office. Putin also stated that "prison standards enshrined in law, the inmates’ rights to health care as well as their other rights should be fully respected."
