The message of the head of state to the Federal Assembly is an annual public address to both houses of parliament, devoted to the state of affairs in the country

MOSCOW, April 24. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin's annual address to the Federal Assembly has not yet been scheduled, according to Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"When it comes to the timing, there have been adjustments both due to the president's busy schedule and his own view that delivering the message at a later date would be more appropriate," Peskov explained when asked about the reasons for the postponement.

He added, "The specific date has not been set. Once the president determines a suitable time, we will promptly inform the public."

The message of the head of state to the Federal Assembly is an annual public address to both houses of parliament, devoted to the state of affairs in the country. Also, it determines domestic and foreign policy guidelines. The content and form of the address are determined by the president.

The previous presidential address was delivered at the end of February 2024. It was the 29th in Russia's modern history and the 19th for Putin as the head of state.
