MOSCOW, February 14. /TASS/. There will certainly be people trying to disrupt the negotiation process in the ranks of the Kiev regime, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters at a briefing in response to a question about the Ukrainian strike on the Zaporozhye thermal power station in Energodar.
"I don't know if these are common links in some chain, but the Ukrainian regime continues to attack peaceful infrastructure - it truly does. <...> It is obvious that some people within the depths of the Kiev regime will likely continue to oppose any attempts to initiate a negotiation process. It is also clear that these individuals will do everything possible to derail this process," the Kremlin spokesman said.
Ukraine launched 15 artillery strikes on the Zaporozhye thermal power plant on the night of February 14. Energy equipment has been severely damaged, and more than 50,000 residents of the region have been left without electricity. No casualties among operational personnel or civilians were reported.
