MOSCOW, December 27. /TASS/. A recent crash of the passenger jet operated by Azerbaijan Airlines company near the town of Aktau in Kazakhstan will be evaluated only after the investigation into the incident by the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya), Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Friday.
"We have aviation authorities who can deal with this," Peskov said.
"Such information can be only received from them, we do not consider ourselves entitled to comment on it," Peskov said in response to a question whether Kremlin had any comments about the plane’s crash in Kazakhstan.
The Azerbaijan Airlines Embraer 190, en route from Baku to Grozny, crashed near Aktau, Kazakhstan, on December 25. The plane was carrying 67 people, including 62 passengers—mostly Azerbaijani citizens—along with nationals from Russia, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan, and five crew members.
According to the latest reports, 38 people, including seven Russians, were killed, while 29 others survived. A special flight dispatched by Russia’s Emergencies Ministry has transported nine Russian nationals, including a child, injured in the crash from Aktau.
