UNITED NATIONS, November 26. /TASS/. Ukraine has requested a UN Security Council meeting on cooperation between Russia and the DPRK, Russia’s First Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Dmitry Polyansky has said.
He stated that "the Kiev regime keeps fighting windmills and does not abandon attempts to persuade the world community this struggle is very serious."
"So far, to little avail. Ukraine has requested a regular UN Security Council meeting on November 27," Polyansky wrote in his Telegram channel. "We will use this opportunity to explain to the public at large the real threats to international peace and security, coming from the actions being taken by the Zelensky regime and its sponsors, which surged up lately."
While commenting on Seoul's earlier publication of some "satellite images" that allegedly showed the presence of DPRK military personnel in Russia, President Vladimir Putin called such photos a "serious thing." However, the Russian leader emphasized that NATO military personnel had long been directly involved in the Ukrainian conflict. Putin pointed out that the Strategic Partnership Treaty between Moscow and Pyongyang had a special clause on joint defense.
Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the strategic cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang was neither unusual nor extraordinary, despite the West's attempts to demonize it. She noted that those who were determined to maintain peaceful interaction with Moscow had nothing to worry about.
