Russian enterprise managing property abroad put on Czech sanctions list

The government's decision does not apply to the Russian embassy facilities used for carrying out diplomatic activities

PRAGUE, November 15. /TASS/. The Czech Republic has added the Russian federal enterprise managing property abroad to the national sanctions list, Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky said.

"Any commercial activity of [this] enterprise, including leasing [real estate units], is illegal from now on," Lipavsky told a news conference that followed a government meeting.

The Federal State Unitary "Enterprise for Property Management Abroad" (Goszagransobstvennost) is part of the Administrative Directorate of the President of the Russian Federation, managing many Russian-owned real estate properties in the Czech Republic. After it was put on the national sanctions list, all property managed by the enterprise in the Czech Republic has been frozen. "Goszagransobstvennost is part of the Russian federal economy and acts in its favor," says the explanatory note in the sanctions list.

The government's decision does not apply to the Russian embassy facilities used for carrying out diplomatic activities.
