Putin tells intelligence agents they have mission to help Russian industrial development

The Russian leader said that goal has gained more importance amid Western sanctions

MOSCOW, June 30. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday said the Foreign Intelligence Service should consider it a key mission to obtain data that would help Russia’s industrial development amid sanctions.

"As before, one of the priorities for the SVR is helping the development of the industrial potential," he said, referring to the service by its Russian acronym, during a meeting at its head office.

Putin said that goal has gained more importance amid Western sanctions.
