Putin's talks with Singaporean PM rescheduled November 14 over president's tight schedule

Putin is expected to have a number of bilateral meetings that day, as well

SINGAPORE, November 13. /TASS/. Negotiations between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong have been rescheduled for Wednesday due the president’s tight schedule, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalists.

Peskov linked the changes in the program to a delay of Putin’s arrival to Singapore, which was caused by the president’s tight working schedule in Moscow. "The program was transformed a little bit," the Kremlin spokesman said. A meeting between Putin and the Singaporean prime minister scheduled for Tuesday, after which documents had to be signed and statements made for the press, "may take place tomorrow in a rather restricted format," he said.

Peskov specified that a number of bilateral meetings are in the president’s schedule for November 14. "We hope that Putin will have a meeting on the move with his Indonesian colleague, and we hope there will be a conversation with President of the Republic of Korea Moon Jae-in, a conversation with Japanese Prime Minister [Shinzo] Abe, of course, a meeting with Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China [Li Keqiang], as well as with Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand [Prayut Chan-o-cha,]" the Kremlin spokesman explained.
