Ex-head of Oboronstroy appointed Russian deputy defense minister — source

Timur Ivanov used to be the deputy chairman of the Moscow region’s government and the head of Russia’s energy agency at the Energy Ministry

MOSCOW, May 23. /TASS/. Former head of military construction company Oboronstroy Timur Ivanov has been appointed Russian deputy defense minister, a source in the ministry told TASS on Monday.

"All the necessary documents have been signed, the appointment was today," the source said.

Ivanov was appointed director general of Oboronstroy in 2013. In 2012, he served as deputy chairman of the Moscow region’s government. In 2009-2012, he led Russia’s energy agency at the Energy Ministry.
