Key rate increase probability becomes lower — Bank of Russia

Regulator's governor Elvira Nabiullina said that "next decisions will depend on whether the pace and stability of inflation decline are enough for its return to 4% by 2026"

MOSCOW, March 21. /TASS/. The probability of key rate increase has diminished, Governor of the Bank of Russia Elvira Nabiullina said at the press conference after the Board meeting.

"Our next decisions will depend on whether the pace and stability of inflation decline are enough for its return to 4% by 2026," she said.

"Should they be insufficient, we can make a further step to increase the rate, although its probability became smaller," Nabiullina added.
