US oil reserves fell by 0.9 mln barrels over week — Energy Ministry

The US department noted that the current volume of reserves is 6% lower than the five-year average for this time of year

MOSCOW, December 18. /TASS/. Commercial oil reserves in the United States fell by 0.9 mln barrels in a week and amounted to 421 mln barrels as of December 13, 2024, the US Department of Energy reported.

The ministry noted that the current volume of reserves is 6% lower than the five-year average for this time of year.

Recently, the price of February Brent oil futures on the London ICE exchange rose by 0.61% to $73.77 per barrel, and the price of WTI oil futures for February delivery rose by 0.93% to $70.36 per barrel.
