Ukraine introduces sanctions against dozens of Russian banks

The list of banks comprises in particular Sberbank, VTB, Gazprombank, and other banks

KIEV, June 24. /TASS/. Ukrainian president Vladimir Zelensky signed an executive order on sanctions against dozens of Russian banks and against central banks of Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republic. Relevant information was posted on Thursday on the website of the presidential office.

"The decision of the Ukraine’s national security and defense council of June 18, 2021 on application of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions) to be put into effect," the executive order says.

The list of banks comprises in particular Sberbank, VTB, Gazprombank, and other banks. Restrictive measures are introduced for three years.
