More than 200 global brands to take part in Hainan's consumer products fair

HAIKOU, February 24. /TASS/. More than 200 world famous brands will participate in the first China International Consumer Products Show, which will be held in Hainan's Haikou on May 7-10, 2021, reported www.hinews.cn.

According to the news outlet, the manufacturer of electric vehicles Tesla, the manufacturer of clothing and luxury accessories Coach, the British diversified corporation Swire Group, the French cosmetics company L'Oreal, the Japanese manufacturer of cosmetics Shiseido and many other brands have already confirmed their participation in the event. As indicated in the material, in total foreign brands will occupy about 80% of the exhibition area.

Switzerland will be the guest of honor at the exhibition. In total, representatives of about 10 countries will participate, including Germany, Ireland, the Republic of Korea, France, Japan, etc.

The proposal to organize the first China International Consumer Products Show is contained in the program for Hainan's Free Trade Port development, which was published on June 1, 2020. It also has provisions for tax exemptions on the import and sale of foreign exhibits at national level exhibitions in the province.

The theme of the first consumer goods show in Haikou is "Hainan - a pioneer of China's openness." The total area of the exposition will reach 100,000 square meters. The main product groups that will be presented include fashionable clothing, jewelry, food, cars, electronics, healthcare products and pet supplies.
