Kalashnikov Group presents AI-based drone defense system

Independent IT expert Maxim Kondratyev specified that the system consisted of drone detection and countermeasure capabilities, including radar, the Krona anti-aircraft missile system and the Kalitka-KA automated turret

PATRIOT PARK (Moscow Region), November 2. /TASS/. The Uzor AI-based decision support system, developed by the Kalashnikov Group, integrates drone detection and neutralization capabilities into a single system, enabling effective protection of strategically important facilities against UAV attacks, independent IT expert Maxim Kondratyev shared this information with journalists during the system’s presentation.

"Everything we’ve discussed today, separate detection and engagement systems, come together with the Kalashnikov’s defense system, a cherry on top of this technological cake, specifically, the Uzor decision-support system. What makes it innovative? It puts artificial intelligence to practical use in protecting facilities," Kondratyev said.

He specified that the system consists of drone detection and countermeasure capabilities, including radar, the Krona anti-aircraft missile system, and the Kalitka-KA automated turret. The AI-based Uzor system connects them into a single network, automatically determines the most effective locations for deploying each component at the facility, and automatically distributes targets among the weapons systems. Uzor can also simulate drone attacks on the facility to assess how effectively it is protected.

According to Kondratyev, this is a brand-new approach to protecting facilities from drones, because previously the effectiveness of this protection could only be determined based on the results of a drone attack, whereas now it is possible to calculate in advance how well a facility is protected.
