MOSCOW, February 16. /TASS/. The Rosoboronexport (ROE) company will present more than 200 samples of weapons and military equipment, ammunition and vehicles at the international exhibition in Abu Dhabi, the ROE’s press-service told the media on Thursday.
"The joint Russian exposition at IDEX 2023 will be located in a separate pavilion, where Rosoboronexport and defense-industrial complex enterprises will present the latest high-tech military products for all branches of the armed forces. Guests and visitors will be shown more than 200 full-scale models of weapons and military equipment, ammunition and equipment," the news release reads.
Rosoboronexport CEO Alexander Mikheyev has said the countries of the Middle East are Russia’s traditional and important partners. Rosoboronexport is implementing many military-technical cooperation projects in the region. Today we are actively working on proposals for the most relevant forms of partnership with the Middle East states, primarily related to technology transfer, joint development and offset programs. Rosoboronexport is considering various options for the joint creation of modern high-tech products, including a fifth-generation fighter based on the Checkmate light tactical aircraft, further work on the development and production of air defense systems, equipment for the Navy, and weapons for the ground forces," he concluded.
The international exhibition of military equipment and weapons IDEX 2023 will be held in Abu Dhabi (UAE) on February 20-24. The event is annual. Russia traditionally takes part in the exhibition. The visitors will be able to see selections from the holding companies High Precision Systems, Shvabe, Russian Helicopters, Ruselectronics, as well as the concerns Kalashnikov and Uralvagonzavod.
