MOSCOW, March 4. /TASS/. The US suspension of military aid to Ukraine is a nightmare come true for Kiev, Rostislav Pavlenko, a lawmaker from the European Solidarity party, said.
"This is a disaster. Getting out of this situation is not a privilege, not an option, but a responsibility of the authorities, because that is why they have powers and resources," the party’s Telegram channel quoted him as saying.
The lawmaker added that it is necessary to find out what is going on as soon as possible before the situation "worsens in the usual way for Ukrainian history."
On March 3, Reuters reported, citing a White House official, that US President Donald Trump had ordered a halt to all military aid deliveries to Kiev. Later, a Pentagon spokesman confirmed this information to TASS.
Kiev believes this situation to be catastrophic. Rada lawmaker Alexey Goncharenko (listed as a terrorist and extremist by Russia’s Federal Service for Financial Monitoring) called on Vladimir Zelensky to apologize to Trump. He pointed out that the suspension of military aid would primarily concern the lack of projectiles for air defense systems, as well as rockets for HIMARS.
