TUNISIA, December 2. /TASS/. The Syrian army’s air defenses are repelling attacks by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of armed terrorist groups in the Hama province in Syria’s west, Sham FM radio station reported on Monday.

Militants of the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham group (outlawed in Russia) are attacking with UAVs districts in the north of the city of Hama (the administration center of the Hama province). As the Al-Watan newspaper reported, the Syrian air defenses also shot down a drone launched by militant groups towards the settlement of Qamhana located in the north of the Hama province.

The Syrian military command reported on November 28 that units of the Jabhat al-Nusra extremist group (outlawed in Russia) "launched a large-scale attack on a broad front" in the north of Syria on the morning of November 27. The terrorists attempted to attack "the villages and towns protected by the Syrian army, as well as military facilities." The Syrian army launched an operation to repulse the attack, it said.

On November 30, the Syrian army said it was striking the positions of terrorists who had penetrated many residential quarters in the city of Aleppo and was waiting for reinforcements.

As Syria’s Defense Ministry reported, the Syrian army had regrouped its forces while repelling a terrorist attack in Aleppo to save the lives of civilians and servicemen and prepare for a counterattack.
