LONDON, November 22. /TASS/. The Ukrainian defense line in Donbass may collapse sooner than expected, including due to the Ukrainian operation in Russia's Kursk Region, Marina Miron, an expert in war studies at King's College London, told the Sky News TV channel.
"The risk is that the frontline along the Donbass will collapse. Much faster, probably, because of this Kursk operation," she said. Miron pointed out that the Ukrainian bet on the transfer of Russian troops from Donbass to the Kursk Region has not played out, and as a result the Russian military is actively advancing toward Krasnoarmeysk (Ukrainian name - Pokrovsk) and entering Dzerzhinsk (Toretsk).
"Those are very important logistical hubs and defence outposts for the Ukrainian armed forces, and losing them will give Russia the advantage to move forward to cities like Kramatorsk and Slovyansk," the expert emphasized.
