NEW YORK, November 6. /TASS/. Almost 75% of Americans feel negatively about the way things are going in the country, according to an NBC News exit poll.
As many as 43% of respondents said they were dissatisfied and 29% said they were angry. Only seven percent were enthusiastic about the domestic situation and another 19% were satisfied with it.
NBC News points out that "roughly 3 in 4 voters said they think democracy in the US today is threatened, <...> while just one-third of voters assessed economic conditions as excellent or good."
The 2024 United States elections are taking place on November 5. Nationwide, American citizens are electing the President and Vice President of the United States, all representatives to the House and one-third of the senators, as well as governors of 11 states and two US territories. The race for the White House pits incumbent Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris against former Republican President Donald Trump.
