Egyptian official reveals how much fuel will enter Gaza daily during Israel-Hamas truce

According to earlier reports, aid trucks, including fuel, have been entering the Gaza Strip via the Rafah crossing since the agreement between the Palestinian radical movement Hamas and Israel came into effect

CAIRO, November 24. /TASS/. As much as 130,000 liters of diesel fuel will be delivered to the Gaza Strip daily from Egypt now that the military pause has begun, said Diaa Rashwan, chairman of the Egyptian State Information Service.

"Under a truce agreement, 130,000 liters of diesel fuel and four gas tanks will enter the Palestinian enclave from Egypt every day," the Al-Ahram newspaper quoted Rashwan as saying. Also, since the truce deal between the combatants came into force, 200 trucks carrying food, water and medicines will enter the Gaza Strip, the Egyptian official added.

According to earlier reports, aid trucks, including fuel, have been entering the Gaza Strip via the Rafah crossing since the agreement between the Palestinian radical movement Hamas and Israel came into effect.

In addition, 17 ambulances have entered Gaza from Egypt through the Rafah border crossing, taking 19 injured Palestinians to Egyptian clinics.

The four-day ceasefire began in the Palestinian enclave at 7:00 a.m. local time (5:00 a.m. GMT) on Friday.
