Over 1,000 people evacuated via humanitarian corridors - Ukrainian deputy PM

According to Vereshchuk, these people were evacuated from the Donetsk and Lugansk regions

KIEV, March 27. /TASS/. More than 1,000 Ukrainians were evacuated via humanitarian corridors on Sunday, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Irina Vereshchuk said.

"Evacuation was conducted via two humanitarian corridors today. As many as 1,100 people were evacuated," she told a briefing, which was posted on the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian presidential office.

According to Vereshchuk, these people were evacuated from the Donetsk and Lugansk regions.

The Russian defense ministry said earlier that the Russian side opens humanitarian corridors from Kiev, Chernigov, Sumy, Kharkov, and Mariupol from ten in the morning every day. The ministry stressed that Russian troops and forces of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics strictly observe the ceasefire along all routes, including those opened by Kiev authorities.
