Turkish president expected to visit Russia for talks with Putin on September 29 — office

Recep Tayyip Erdogan is expected to head to the city of Sochi

ANKARA, September 21./TASS/. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is expected to visit Russia for talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin on September 29, the president’s office told journalists on Tuesday.

"It is expected that our president will head to Russia (the city of Sochi) for a one-day visit on September 29, 2021," it said.

Erdogan’s visit to Russia for talks with Putin is being prepared, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov also confirmed on Monday.

As the Kremlin spokesman specified, "the agenda [of the talks] will be very broad, beginning with bilateral relations and these are very versatile ties and the presidents always have something to talk about in this context." "Of course, Syria and other regional conflicts will be discussed," Peskov added.

Erdogan also stated in late August that in the course of his upcoming visit to Russia he was going to discuss with Russian President Vladimir Putin the details of purchasing the second regiment set of S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems.
