Organizers of 2024 BRICS Games expect athletes from over 50 countries

The BRICS Games will be held in Kazan, Russia, from June 12 to 23, 2024, with twenty-five athletic disciplines covered by the program

KAZAN, December 14. /TASS/. Athletes from more than 50 countries are expected to participate in the BRICS Games, to be held in Russia’s Volga area city of Kazan in the summer of 2024, a regional sports official said.

"Our main challenge is to ensure geographical [representation], to receive athletes from 50 plus countries," said Vladimir Leonov, the sports minister of Tatarstan - the Russian region where Kazan is located.

The BRICS Games will be held in Kazan, Russia, from June 12 to 23, 2024, with twenty-five athletic disciplines covered by the program.
