MOSCOW, November 12. /TASS/. A passenger Boeing-737 with 189 people aboard has safely landed in Chelyabinsk despite faulty flaps, a spokesman for the emergencies services told TASS on Sunday.
"At 4:43 p.m. Moscow time (1:43 p.m. GMT), a passenger Boeing-737 flying from Sochi landed safely at Chelyabinsk Kurchatov Airport after a signal about a possible emergency landing. According to preliminary data, the plane had problems with flaps," the spokesman said, adding that there were 189 people, including nine children and seven crewmembers onboard the plane.
"Before the landing, the plane burned up fuels," he said.
A probe is underway.
