MOSCOW, February 13. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin backed US leader Donald Trump’s idea that peace should be achieved through political and diplomatic means, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"Of course, they addressed the Ukraine issue. It was one of the main topics. They agreed that even the most complicated problems need to be solved through peace talks," Peskov told VGTRK journalist Pavel Zarubin, according to a video posted on the reporter’s Telegram channel.

"In this case, President Putin agreed with an idea put forward by President Trump," he added.
