Ukraine’s army attacks Russia’s borderline Belgorod Region with over 50 UAVs in past day

BELGOROD, December 25. /TASS/. The Ukrainian military attacked 11 districts of Russia’s borderline Belgorod Region with 55 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and 44 munitions over the past day, wounding a civilian, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on his Telegram channel on Wednesday.

"In the Valuisky municipal district, the villages of Borki, Dolgoye, Kukuyevka, Soloti and the farmstead Ryabiki were attacked by 15 UAVs, of which six were shot down by air defense systems," the governor said. "In the village of Borki, an FPV drone struck a moving vehicle and its driver sustained wounds."

The Graivoronsky district was attacked by 20 munitions and six UAVs, he said adding that "the city of Belgorod was attacked by a fixed-wing drone. No casualties or destruction were reported."

Air defenses destroyed 23 Ukrainian UAVs over the Alexeyevsky, Krasnogvardeisky, Prokhorovsky and Chernyansky districts, one car was damaged as a result. Three UAVs struck the Borisovsky district, a roof of a garage belonging to an agricultural facility was damaged, Gladkov specified.

The Volokonovsky district was struck by three enemy drones, a social infrastructure facility and a gas pipeline were damaged. In the Krasnoyaruzhsky district, the villages of Grafovka and Repyakovka were subjected to bombardments by three munitions and one fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicle, according to the governor.

"In the Shebekinsky municipal district, four artillery shells were fired in a single attack targeting the farmstead Mukhin and a drone discharged an explosive on the village of Murom. No damages were reported," Gladkov added.
