Ukraine carries out missile strike on town of Rylsk in Russia’s Kursk Region

Acting region's governor Alexander Khinshtein stressed that the regional government would provide the necessary assistance to those injured in the attack and their families

KURSK, December 20. /TASS/. The Ukrainian army has carried out a missile strike on the town of Rylsk in Russia’s borderline Kursk Region, acting regional Governor Alexander Khinshtein said.

"The Ukrainian armed forces have carried out a missile strike on the town of Rylsk. Ukrainian nationalists deliberately choose civilian and social facilities as their targets. I am currently in Moscow for a State Council meeting but I will depart for Rylsk immediately after the meeting is over. I have already sent Acting [regional] Prime Minister Alexey Dedov and his deputies there. All emergency services and response teams are already working at the site of the attack," Khinshtein said in a video address posted on his Telegram channel.

The acting governor added that the regional government would provide the necessary assistance to those injured in the attack and their families. "No one will be left alone with their troubles," he noted.
